“Life In A Day” is a collaborative project created by YouTube. YouTube crowd-sources people’s footage from around the world through their viewfinder of one particular day, July 24 2010. Amateur film fundis from allover the world have been asked to upload their footage to the “Life In A Day” YouTube channel. Oscar winning director Kevin MacDonald will edit the footage into a documentary film. Cinematic classic director Ridley Scott will be the executive producer on the film. LG Electronics is sponsoring the project as part of their “Life is Good” campaign, that promotes their brand positioning that life is made better with only LG Electronics.
The announcement was made on Wednesday morning on Youtube’s blog. Video submissions end on the 31’st of July 2010. 20 contributors will then be selected to attend the premiere at the 2011 Sundance Film Fetsival.
